How to Tie a Full Windsor Knot

This knot requires the most amount of material to tie.  It is best used with relatively thin tie fabric.

How to Tie a Half Windsor         How to Tie a Tie

Start with the wide end of the tie on your right side.  Extend the wide end approximately a foot below the narrow end.

Cross the wide end of the tie over the narrow end and bring the wide end up through the loop.

Cross the wide end over the narrow end and bring the wide end up through the loop.

Wrap the wide end around the front of the tie as shown.

After wrapping around the front of the tie, bring the wide end up and through the loop.  If done correctly, the knot will resemble a triangle when tightened.

Complete by putting the wide end of the tie down through the knot in the front.  Tighten the knot by pulling on the wide end of the tie while holding the knot.  To draw up the knot snug to the collar pull on the narrow end of the tie while holding the knot.
