Men's
Athletic Cut Suits. . .
An
athletic cut suit is cut trimmer in the sides of the coat and the
trouser size is smaller as well. Specifically, an athletic cut suit
has an 8 inch difference between the coat size and the pant size.
For example, a 48 regular will come with a size 40 waist pair of
suit pants. We carry athletic cut suits from chest size 40 to 56
in regular and long. In shorts, we carry athletic cut suits from
chest size 40 to 46. Unlike standard cut suits and portly cut suits,
an athletic cut suit always has an 8 inch difference between the
coat chest size and the trouser waist size (otherwise known as "the
drop") - regardless of the chest size. This model is ideal
for the man who works out or has a well developed chest and arms.
Athletic cut suit models are available in a wide range of sizes
with our Build
Your Own Suit program.
Men's
Portly Cut Suits. . .
A
portly cut suit is cut fuller in the sides of the coat than a standard
cut suit. In addition, the pant waist size is larger as well. Portly
cut suits start with just a 4 inch difference (or drop) between
the chest size and the pant waist size. As the drop reduces as the
chest size increases. Larger size portly suits will have a 0 drop
– the chest size and pant waist size are the same. You will
find a portly cut suits avialable in our on-line store by
Palm Beach and Hardwick.
Portly cut suit models are available in a wide range of sizes with
our Build
Your Own Suit program.
Men's
Suit Separates. . .
With
suit separates, you can choose the suit coat and suit trouser that
fits the best. Both are made of the same material and pattern. This
is extremely helpful when a man can not find a suit that fits well
“off-of-the-rack”. In addition to standard size suit separates, we
also offer athletic cut and portly cut suit separates. This allows
you to select the appropriate suit coat cut and trouser size.
