It is ideal for the man who has a stomach or abdomen that is larger in proportion to his shoulders. The benefit of a portly size is the ability to fit the man’s shoulders while at the same time giving him the freedom to button his coat. A tell tale sign you need a portly coat is if a standard size fits comfortably in the shoulders, but you are unable to button the coat. Since a “portly” is a specific type of cut, coats are available in shorts, regulars and longs. Product Description: This portly size classic blazer is made of a year round blend of 55% polyester and 45% wool. This blazer has besom flap pockets and is fully lined inside. To complete the classic blazer styling, this blazer has brass buttons and a center vent in the back of the coat. Hardwick blazers are full cut with ample room in the chest and armholes. These blazers have mitered sleeve corners for a clean appearance as well as a ¾ inch sleeve allowance for easy alterations. To keep your blazer looking great, it has a taped neckline and armholes to assure the jacket maintains its shape, comfort and fit. Finally, Hardwick blazers go through 12 separate pressing operations - especially the inside linings which are done by hand. All Hardwick blazers are made in USA at their manufacturing facility in Cleveland, TN.
