DELBERT'S
SECURES ORANGE BLAZER FOR COACH WEBER IN TIME FOR "PAINT THE HALL
ORANGE" NIGHT AGAINST RIVAL MICHIGAN STATE
FOR
IMMEDIATE RELEASE
ARTHUR,
IL - February 6, 2004 - Delbert's Clothing in Arthur, IL today received
an orange blazer at the request of University of Illinois Athletic
Department just in time for Coach Weber to wear during the Michigan
State game Tuesday night.
Finding
a bright orange men's blazer was no easy task due to the lack of
demand for such a color. However, Delbert's was able to locate a
blazer from clothing manufacturer Hart Schaffner & Marx who
scoured their inventory and found one. Special arrangements were
made to meet and fit the jacket to coach Weber prior to the team's
trip to Minnesota.
The
orange blazer made famous by coach Lou Henson was previously made
by Hardwick Clothing Company. However, in the late 1980's Hardwick
discontinued making the orange blazer color. In addition to Coaches
Henson and Weber, Delbert's was instrumental in obtaining an orange
blazer for former Illini head coach Bill Self.
Delbert's
has been a long time supporter of University of Illinois Athletics
and has an extensive collection of Illini memorabilia on display
in the store. Delbert's has been located in the heart of downtown
Arthur since 1958 and sells men's clothing including big and tall
sizes exclusively.
