For The Small & Short Man

When it comes to men's clothing finding a size for a small and/or short man isn't easy.  Most department stores and retail chain stores do not carry short sizes, but at Delbert's many of the garments we carry at our store are available in shorts and in some cases extra short.

Men's Suits, Sportcoats & Blazers in Short Sizes

At Delbert's we carry a variety of sizes designed specifically to fit the man who is under 5 feet 7 inches tall.  If you are shorted than 5'7" but taller than 5'4", chances are you will need a short when shopping for a man's suit, sportcoat or blazer.  If you are shorter than 5 feet 4 inches, then you will probably need an extra short.  While we stock most short sizes, extra short sizes in men's suits, sportcoats and blazers are available through our custom made to measure program or build your own suit in our on-line store.  With either of these options we can address you specific fit needs whether your challenge lies with the coat, pants or both.

Men's Suits, Sportcoats & Blazers in Small Sizes

Just because a man has a small chest or build does not necessarily mean he needs a short size garment.  At Delbert's our men's suit, sportcoat and blazer chest sizes begin at size 36 in regulars and shorts, 38 in longs, and size 40 in extra longs.  With our Build Your Own Suit program available on-line, you can choose a coat size as small as a 35 and pants as small as a 28 waist.   With this program you can choose small sizes ranging from extra short to extra long!

Short Rise Pants

If you have ever had problems with your pants being too baggy in the seat, then you might be a good candidate for a pair of short rise pants.   A short rise pant has a shallower rise (depth in the crotch) and as a result may sit lower on your waist.  In addition, the pant leg is trimmer particularly in the thigh area.  However, when it comes to finding a short rise pair of pants, it is much easier said than done!  At Delbert's, we stock short rise pants from waist 34 to 44 primarily in plain front Sansabelt and in the Palm Beach Reflex model with a wide variety of short rise dress pants available on-line.  While our stock of pleated short rise pants is more limited, we offer a wide variety of fabrications and sizes through our custom made to measure program.

Small Waist Size Pants

In casual pants, the smallest waist we offer is size 29.  The smallest waist size trouser is 28 (may be taken in up to 2 inches at the waist).  We also offer a complete line of custom made to measure casual and dress trousers.

Small Size Shirts

The smallest dress shirt size we stock is 14 1/2 inch neck with a 32/33 inch sleeve.  For smaller sizes, we offer a complete line of custom made to measure dress shirts and sportshirts in both long and short sleeves.
